Putaruru Hotel is a distinguished Art Deco style building with a spacious interior, comfortable accommodation and backpacker rooms. The philosophy of ‘no limitations’ means if it’s possible they will consider it. The dining room is available for private use at anytime of the year (for morning teas, lunches, afternoon teas and dinners), and can cater for up to 50 people for a sit down ‘ a la carte meal’, or up to 100 for a cocktail style get together. Menus can be designed to suit all budgets and tastes.

Looking for a special place for your wedding? Putaruru is a perfect location for a wedding venue as it's near Hamilton, Rotorua, Tauranga and Taupo, and the Putururu Hotel has catered for many weddings ensuring the bride, groom and guests all have a perfect day.

If you choose to, you can marry on-site and the hotel can even provide a celebrant. You can also choose to have the hotel manage the entire day for you - flowers, the wedding cake etc - plus the hotel restaurant is ideal for the wedding reception.

Local bands can be arranged to play a selection of music like jazz, accoustic, classical or covers, or you might prefer a DJ. Alternatively you can bring your own hire gear in and set it up yourselves. Onsite accommodation (12 rooms and 9 backpacker rooms) ensures no one has to drive after the reception so guests can relax and enjoy their evening.

Putaruru Hotel can cater to groups of any size and on any day as long as everything is pre-booked, and groups larger than 12 dine on a set menu. All budgets and dietary requirements can be catered upon request, and if pre-arranged, tour guides and drivers are free of charge (conditions apply).
